Post-October

The last few weeks have been very crazy. I spent the weekend in New York City, went to the met and saw a Neo Rauch work and some epic Winslow Homer paintings, did a studio visit with Juan Sanchez (see his art here) in his brooklyn loft, and did the Chelsea rundown. It was great to get out of the small town. I've had a lot of ideas kicking around and attempting to organize it is becoming increasingly difficult. Currently I'm working on a series of faux comic book covers entitled "The Other World". It's allowing me to come up with quick narratives that don't actually need to be flushed out. My painting has taken the form of a deep sea diver apparently. My professors believe its a fictional manifestation of my personality. Me, I'm not quite convinced. I'll put up some more pictures. The new band I'm in, Steamwhistle Cartel, is a semi-funk, semi-jam, semi-odd project. I'm singing lead and playing acoustic guitar. The others are as follows: Sean Miller on bass, Eric Miller on drums, Max Feeman on lead guitar, Elliot Danby on alto sax. We're opening for Everclear on 20th of November, tickets are available through the University. I'm going to try getting into this blogoshpere thing better, soon I'll be posting ideas for a new short comic I'll be writing for a spot I scored at a table at the Cambridge Comic-Con. Till next time
